The 2023 ODI World Cup concluded with Australia’s victory over India in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has expressed gratitude to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the successful organization of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. This edition marked the largest Cricket World Cup to date.
Australia secured their sixth title by defeating India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium, with record-breaking attendance and viewership across broadcast and digital platforms.
The 2023 edition has highlighted the pinnacle of one-day cricket, blending India’s fervor for the sport with the national pride of all participating nations, resulting in an unparalleled global sporting spectacle that captivated fans worldwide.
The tournament took place from October 5 to November 19, spanning ten host cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune.
Additionally, warm-up venues in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram contributed to the event’s success.
ICC thanks to BCCI for hosting the biggest-ever Cricket World Cup
