The New Zealand cricket team will take on South Africa in the seventh warm-up match of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup on Monday, October 2 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. They had a good warm-up game against Pakistan in Hyderabad.

New Zealand defeated Pakistan comfortably by five wickets in their first warm-up match. They chased down 346 runs in around 44 overs, with Rachin Ravindra top-scoring with 97 runs. Meanwhile, Kane Williamson, Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell slammed half-centuries.

On the other hand, South Africa’s first warm-up was abandoned due to rain in Thiruvananthapuram. They are heading into this tournament on the back of a series win against Australia. They were two down in the five-match series but led a great comeback to win the remaining three matches.
