He has showcased his batting prowess during the tournament, playing a crucial role for the team at the top of the order. Ahead of the upcoming match against Bangladesh, he will be eyeing to go past AB de Villiers and Brian Lara in an elite list of players.

Rohit Sharma has a terrific record for India at the ODI World Cups. He is the second-leading run-scorer for the country in the tournament’s history. Meanwhile, Rohit is seventh overall on the list. He was dismissed for a duck in the opening match of the tournament against Australia. However, Rohit made a comeback in the following game. He slammed a stunning century, scoring 131 runs in 84 deliveries, including sixteen boundaries and five sixes. The swashbuckling Indian opener followed up with an 86-run knock against Pakistan in the next game. He has slammed seven centuries at the ODI World Cups so far, the most by any cricketer.
