Former Indian captain Virat Kohli through Instagram was seen sharing a video of a fan who invaded his privacy by recording his hotel room. The clip went viral on social media while the Men in Blue were busy with their T20 World Cup game against South Africa.
The fan was seen filming Kohli’s room and his personal belongings, which has gone viral on social media. Virat Kohli is seen expressing his concern by calling such behaviour appalling and has made him very paranoid about his privacy. Taking to Instagram, Virat Kohli wrote:
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all??”
He further added that he is not okay with such “fanaticism” and that people should respect others’ privacy.
“I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” Virat Kohli further added.

Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma was also seen reacting to this video. She was seen calling this incident “the worst thing an absolute disgrace.” She further added, “Exercising some self-control helps everyone. Also if this happening in the bedroom then where is the line.”
She also mentions that she has faced situations where fans have shown no compassion which is not acceptable and is seen as a violation of a human being. Fans are infuriated with his invasion of privacy and are seen blaming the hotel management in Perth for this and action should be taken by concerned authorities to sack any hotel staff who are a part of this breach of privacy.
