Rohit made his T20 World Cup debut during the 2007 World T20 played in South Africa. He has played in all T20I editions so far. He has now played 36 matches surpassing TM Dilshan’s record of 35 matches. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Shakib Al Hasan featured in all editions of the T20 World Cup since 2007.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. He scored 15 off 14 balls with 1 four and 1 six. He fell to a short ball with a simple return catch to Lungi Ngidi.
Lungi Ngidi put India on the back foot getting wickets of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya. Suryakumar’s brilliant 68 helped India to recover at 133 for 8 in 20 overs.
