India face England in the fourth and final Test match of the series in Motera. The Test match will be played from March 4-8. having beaten England in the third Test, India are a step closer to the World Test Championship final. Having lost the third Test, England are out of contention for the same. India need to ensure they avoid a loss in the final Test to play the WTC final. More about the 4th Test Preview in detail below.

Team India are confident of winning the fourth and final Test match and cement their place in the WTC final. They are not worried about losing the Test match at all and seem very confident with their preparations. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane have broth brushed aside the thought of drawing the Test match which as per the reporters were the safer option to play the finals against New Zealand.

With their spinners firing and able replacement for Jasprit Bumrah, Team India look favorites to win the fourth Test. Batting wise, Rohit Sharma has set a template on how to bat on the turning wicket of Motera and the rest of the batters would follow his footsteps. Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara will all look to make some useful runs.

England, on the other hand, would like to spoil India’s chances of making it to the final of the WTC. Joe Root very clearly spoke of the team’s intent on winning the Test match and levelling the series, which will be a great result for the side. To do the same, however, picking the best playing XI remains a concern. England’s team selection in the previous Test was hugely criticised and they would have learned from that in the break. An improved batting performance from the visitors certainly would increase their chances of winning the Test match.

Pitch & Weather Conditions For 4th Test

According to India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane it will play similar to wickets seen in the second and third Tests. Both team are expected to pick a playing XI which will be best suited for the conditions. England would hope that the Test match does not end in two days like the last one. The weather is expected to be hot and humid. Back to a normal star would mean, the second session will be the best for batting.
