Indian Women will take on defending champions Australia in a five-match T20I series, starting on December 9, 2022. The first two matches would be played at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai before the last three fixtures would be played at Brabourne Stadium, CCI, Mumbai.
It promises to be an exciting series with Harmanpreet Kaur leading the Indian team while Alyssa Healy would lead Australia in the absence of Meg Lanning. These five T20I matches are a preparation for both teams to finetune their skills ahead of the T20 World Cup to be played in South Africa next year.
The Women in Blue would be high on confidence after winning the Asia Cup title for the record seventh time and hoping to give a tough time against the Australian team.
This will the first bilateral series between these two sides on Indian soil since 2012. Australian women won that series 4-1.
