The Indian Premier League has also become an auditioning ground for cricketers all over the world. From the likes of Ravindra Jadeja to Ruturaj Gaikwad, many have bagged the India cap on the back of their performances in the Indian Premier League. The fourteenth edition of the league too has witnessed some excellent performances from the youngsters.

Venkatesh Iyer (KKR)
Venkatesh Iyer has taken the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 by storm. The Kolkata Knight Riders opener has showcased his all-round abilities in the tournament. Iyer brought in a surprise element into the Kolkata Knight Riders’ team. He has scored 265 runs, including two fifties in 8 matches at an average of 37.85.
Ventakesh Iyer has also been very handy with the bat, providing crucial breakthroughs for his franchise. Impressed by his performance in the league, many fans and pundits are calling for his inclusion in the T20 World Cup squad for India. An India cap might not be far away for Venkatesh Iyer if he continues his great run in the future.
Karthik Tyagi (RR)
The Rajasthan Royals pacer Karthik Tyagi is being hailed as one of the rising stars of Indian cricket. The pacer is remembered for his 4/24 against Australia in the Quarterfinals of the 2020 U19 World Cup. However, his match-winning performance against the Punjab Kings brought him into the limelight again.
Karthik Tyagi defended four runs in the final over, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat for his franchise. He was applauded for his brilliance by the fans and the pundits. However, Karthik Tyagi could not perform consistently for the franchise. But with the talent that he possesses, the pacer is a definite prospect for the Indian team.
Ravi Bishnoi (PBKS)
Ravi Bishnoi is another cricketer from India’s U19 ranks to make a case for himself in the Indian Premier League 2021. He was the leading wicket-taker in the 2020 U19 World Cup, with 17 wickets to his name.
In the Indian Premier League 2021, the leg-spinner took 12 wickets in 9 matches. His 3/24 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, helped the Punjab Kings to defend a low score of 126 runs. The legspinner has once again proved his worth on the big stage.
Avesh Khan (DC)
Avesh Khan has been a standout performer in the Indian Premier League 2021 season. Despite being surrounded by match-winners, such as the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, Avesh has been able to carve a niche for himself.
The Delhi Capitals pacer has taken 23 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 18.60. His best figures of 3/13 came against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Avesh Khan has been instrumental in the Delhi Capitals’ journey in the Indian Premier League 2021 so far.
Arshdeep Singh (PBKS)
Arshdeep Singh has probably been the most impressive bowler in the death overs in the Indian Premier League. He has picked up 18 wickets in 12 matches in the tournament for the Punjab Kings. The pacer has also bagged a five-for against the Rajasthan Royals this year.
The Punjab Kings pacer is being hailed as a future prospect for India by some of the former cricketers. He was a net bowler on India’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2021. Arshdeep Singh has made a strong case for himself on the back of his performances in the IPL.
