Former Team India cricketer Aakash Chopra has picked up the ideal playing XI of Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. Both teams are slated to lock horns later today at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium fighting for two crucial points to keep their hopes alive for a top-four finish.

In a surprising move, Aakash Chopra believes Mumbai Indians should continue with Jayant Yadav in their playing XI. He also added that the defending champions can replace Nathan Coulter Nile with Rahul Chahar in the side and can go in with three foreign players.

The cricketer-turned-commentator also backed that Mumbai can go in with three spinners and if they need an extra pacer, they can rely on the experience of Kieron Pollard.

On the other hand, Aakash Chopra stated that the Rajasthan Royals (RR) played extremely well against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their previous rubber. He added that the Royals might be tempted to play Tabraiz Shamsi against MI, but they should resist that temptation, as they have the likes of Mayank Markhande and Rahul Tewatia in their ranks.

Aakash Chopra’s Predicted MI Playing XI: Quinton De Kock (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Saurabh Tiwary, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Jayant Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult

Aakash Chopra’s Predicted RR Playing XI: Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson ( and wk), Shivam Dube, Glenn Phillips, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Akash Singh, Chetan Sakariya/Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Markhande, Mustafizur Rahman
