IPL 2021: Fangirl Of MS Dhoni Travels From Chennai To Dubai To Watch The Final

MS Dhoni

After beating the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Friday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) became the IPL champions for the fourth time. It was an emotional moment for the team as they made an incredible comeback after failing to qualify for the play-offs in IPL 2020. The free-flowing innings from Faf Du Plessis was one of the main reasons behind CSK’s triumph in the finale.

However, there was another person who captured the hearts of people on social media, and that person is none other than an MS Dhoni-fangirl. She was present in the stands during the match and was holding a placard that said, she has travelled all the way from Chennai to watch Dhoni play the final in Dubai.

In the poster, it was also written, “Mahi Tum Jahan, Main Wahan”(Mahi wherever you are, I am there). As a CSK fan, she was also wishing for her team to get the trophy and the players didn’t disappoint as the “Men in Yellow” won the match by a margin of 27 runs.

“Still I haven’t left behind…”- MS Dhoni

During the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni delivered a witty reaction to Harsha Bhogle’s question about his future in the Indian Premier League. Bhogle inquired about the wicket-keeper batter’s future with the team. Dhoni said:

“Well it’s not about me playing for CSK, it’s about what is best for CSK. The core group that can carry the team for 10 years. Now we need to see what is best.”

“You can be proud of the legacy you have left behind,” Harsha Bhogle stated, highlighting MS Dhoni’s impact in the league, to which Dhoni cheekily replied, “Still I haven’t left behind…”

MS Dhoni has now led the Chennai Super Kings to four IPL trophies and two Champions League titles. As a captain, he has the most number of IPL wins with an impressive win percentage of 59.60. Dhoni will now be looking forward to his role as the mentor of the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup, also to be played in UAE.
