The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 25 (Sunday) announced the schedule of the second half of IPL 2021. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will begin their campaign in the second phase against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on September 20, a day after defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings kick off the second half.
Meanwhile, RCB and KKR were slated to play on May 3 in Ahmedabad which was postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis that forced BCCI to defer the tournament on May 4.

Virat Kohli Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently placed third with five wins from seven matches. Only Delhi Capitals (12) and Chennai Super Kings (10) are ahead of them in the IPL 2021 points table.
RCB, who are likely to miss Washington Sundar owing to a finger injury, will look to keep up the excellent work in the second half of the tournament and end their trophy drought.
