Ishan Kishan is in the UAE at the moment with the rest of the Mumbai Indians players for the second half of IPL 2021. The UAE leg starts from September 19 with CSK taking on the Mumbai Indians in the first game. KKR and RCB face off each other in the second game then. The southpaw, who recently made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka had an interesting story to share about the bats that he uses.

Ishan Kishan revealed that he was a big believer of Sai Baba which is why “Om Sai Nath” is written in all the bats that he uses. He revealed this in an interview with Mumbai Indians from the UAE.

“No, I don’t keep my bats marked to know which I’ve to use. But yes, I always know which is the one I have to pick. My debut bat is not with me here. I’ve sent it to SG because I want three more bats just like that to play with. If you own a lot of bats too, you get confused. You don’t know which to play with. Now I’m confused as to which bat to play with!”

Om Sai Nath Written On My Bats Gives Me Confidence: Ishan Kishan

“Let me just pick a new bat today, what say? All my bats have the text “Om Sai Nath” written on it because I believe in him. I ask them to put it on my bat because I like it, it gives me confidence” said Kishan.

Meanwhile, a section of people started trolling for him for being religious on Twitter and even started joking about religious sentiments as a whole. People also started trolling him since he has a Sai Baba tattoo in one of his arms.
