Mumbai Indians are all set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in the ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The five times IPL champions, Mumbai would like to continue their winning streak, while Hyderabad are still in search of the breakthrough. For SRH and MI, the journey so far has been like chalk and cheese. MI, after losing the first game, bounced back like a true champion team, and on the other hand, David Warner & Co, despite getting initial starts in both their games, lost the flow and got drawn.

Rohit Sharma’s side looks formidable after their win against Kolkata Knight Riders while Hyderabad are still working out on their impactful playing 11. SRH would like to draft in some other players in their playing 11. Sunrisers Hyderabad have intense overseas players who can linger at the crease with the bat, but their Indian batters have not been impressive. Jonny Bairstow shot a half-century in the first game, and it was replicated by captain David Warner in the second. Although Manish Pandey has been bonzer in both games but his strike rate and inability to bat till the end has been a major problem for the side.

However, Mumbai Indians have shown more intent than the Orange Army. Mumbai batters have delivered some fierce knocks, on the other hand, SRH have wheeled on the fear of losing wickets and the encounters. Their envision came true in both their games this season. Suryakumar Yadav, the sensation of India, drove everyone bonkers with his sumptuous maximums.

Both the teams have bowlers who can turn the match with the bowl. SRH have Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan, while Mumbai Indians have Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar. Bowlers of both teams have left no loopholes yet.

Match Prediction – Who Will Win?

The pitch at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is friendlier for the spinners. The games have been low-scoring thrillers and the winning chance for the chasing team is above 50% at Chepauk. Now coming to this clash, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have so far faced each other on 16 occasions. They share the stage as Mumbai Indians have won 8 matches and in the other eight, Sunrisers Hyderabad have emerged victoriously.

Hence, it will be interesting to see the tug of war on Saturday, April 17. However, Rohit Sharma’s side will start the match as the favourites. But both the teams will look forward to having some plain-sail by winning their third fixture.
