The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 which was suspended due to the Covid-19 spread is all set to resume from September 19 in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Several teams have already started their training session in UAE. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have also landed in UAE for the second phase of IPL 2021.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings ( PBKS) can’t directly start their training sessions as they have to follow some protocols. The team is all set to undergo a mandatory six-day quarantine in a Dubai hotel. The Punjab Kings franchise announced their arrival in UAE through a video shared on their social media handle. In the video Head Coach, Anil Kumble was seen alongside stars players like Deepak Hooda, Arshdeep Singh, and Murugan Ashwin.
Former Indian captain Anil Kumble stated that he is feeling extremely nice as IPL 2021 is all set to resume and they are looking forward to starting training after quarantine. He stated:
“Extremely nice to resume the IPL, although it’s in a different location. 6 games, we would like to take one game at a time… It’s good to see all of them here and once we get to Dubai, we’ll get the ball rolling. So, looking forward to it,”
The Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, who picked seven wickets for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2021 said:
“The focus will be on the processes then we’ll play match by match to ensure we can bring the best result,”.
Leg-spinner Murugan Ashwin said that experience of playing in the UAE will come in very handy. He said:
“Just like last year, we played on the same ground, so we are much aware of what the ground holds,”.

Punjab Kings ( PBKS) are currently placed sixth in the IPL 2021 points table and they are all set to resume their campaign against Rajasthan Royals in Dubai on September 21. In the first phase of IPL 2021 Punjab Kings played 8 games, they earned a victory in 3 games and lost 5.

Meanwhile, they have added Australian pacer Nathan Ellis and England spinner Adil Rashid to the team for IPL 2021 UAE leg.
