IPL 2021: Scott Styris Does SWOT Analysis Of Every Franchise Ahead OF UAE Leg

Former New Zealand cricketer turned commentator Scott Styris has rated every franchise ahead of the UAE leg. The season resumes with the clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on September 19. Both teams are placed in the top four in the points table at the moment. The Kiwi cricketer has pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of every team and spoke about their chances as well.

Scott Styris started with Mumbai Indians who as per him are a settled team. The same settled unit as per Styris has been the cause of success for the franchise and he believes that they will make the final four as well. Next, he spoke about Delhi Capitals who he thinks will become better side with the return of Shreyas Iyer. Iyer missed the first half of the season with a shoulder injury.

Chennai Super Kings as per Styris looks a settled team but their poor form in the UAE in the last season should keep them thinking feels the Kiwi. CSK finished seventh in IPL 2020 in the UAE. Regarding RCB Styris said the absence of Washington Sundar and the availability of the overseas players may be a matter of concern. The franchise has roped in as many as four replacements for the UAE leg.

Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are his the last four picks of the Kiwi cricketer. All the sides need to potentially win all their remaining matches in the second half of the season. SRH are on two points, KKR, four, RR and PBKS on six each.

The IPL 2021 playoffs will be played on October 10 and 11 with the final on October 15. The Eliminator will be played on October 13.
