At the center of the buzz have been talented uncapped pacers, who have made a mark for themselves this season. Bowling alongside the best of the world, the young pacers, the likes of Umran Malik, Mukesh Choudhary, etc have managed to carve a niche for themselves and raw talent that is on display.

#5 Mukesh Choudhary
Mukesh Choudhary has impressed the cricket pundits and the fans with his ability to swing the ball both ways. He has certainly made a name for himself with his brilliant bowling performances in the Indian Premier League 2022 season.
The left-arm pacer was signed by the Chennai Super Kings for his base price of 20 lakhs at the auctions. After Deepak Chahar got ruled out of the tournament, Mukesh was handed the new ball duties by the franchise. So far, the young bowler has repaid the faith shown in him.
Mukesh has picked up 11 wickets in nine matches at an average of 28.18. His best of 4/46 came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, powering his team to a 13-runs victory.
#4 Yash Dayal
Gujarat Titans pacer Yash Dayal has made heads turn with his accuracy and pace in the Indian Premier League 2022 season. He has proved to be a great asset for the Hardik Pandya-led team in an already powerful bowling attack.
Bowling alongside Mohammed Shami and Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal has made a mark for himself in his debut match. He took three wickets conceding forty runs, to help his side win the match by 37 runs.
In the four matches that he has played so far, the youngster has picked seven wickets at an average of 20.85. Though he has been a bit expensive, Dayal’s pace and accuracy have gotten him the wickets.
#3 Kuldeep Sen
Kuldeep Sen made the headlines on his IPL debut when he defended 15 runs in the last over against the Lucknow Super Giants. The power-hitter Marcus Stoinis was at the crease, with 14 needed off the last five deliveries.
Kuldeep managed to sneak three dot balls in the of the remaining five balls, to snatch a victory for his franchise. The pacer announced himself on the big stage, with a match-winning over under pressure.
So far, the Rajasthan Royals bowler has taken eight wickets in five matches at an average of 20.37. He took four wickets conceding just 20 runs, against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, including the wickets of Faf Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell.
#2 Mohsin Khan
Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul has confessed that he does not enjoy facing the young pacer Mohsin Khan in the nets, due to his sharp and scary bowling. The left-arm pacer is known as a medium pace bowler, however, could clock up to 140km/h.
Mohsin was signed by the franchise for 20 lakhs at the IPL auctions. The pacer has been a key performer for his team and has played an instrumental role in their success so far. He has taken eight wickets in four matches, at an average of 10.62.
Along with picking wickets, Mohsin has also been very economical with the ball. During the match against Delhi Capitals, he picked four wickets, conceding just 16 runs, to lead the side to victory.
#1 Umran Malik
Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik has become the talk of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The franchise had retained him for a price of four crores before the Indian Premier League. So far, Umran proved the team’s decision to be a masterstroke.
In the nine matches he has played so far, Umran has scalped 15 wickets at an average of 19.13. His fiery pace has earned him enormous praise from former cricketers. Umran clocked 154 km/h against the Chennai Super Kings to register the fastest ball of IPL 2022.
The right-arm pacer has become a lethal bowling option for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, someone whom the opposition fears about.
