Sunrises Hyderabad coach Tom Moody is optimistic about Kane Williamson’s comeback

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson has been struggling with injury for a while. He has not played any competitive cricket for the last four months. However, coach Tom Moody is optimistic about the Kiwi batter’s comeback.

Speaking to Sportstar, Moody stated that Williamson is excited to get back and is confident about his recovery.

“Kane has been hitting the ball for over a month. And, he’s excited to get back into matches. He was hoping to play a little bit earlier. But then he was restricted by the medical team in New Zealand. But I think the long-term plan is probably the safer way to go for his longevity. So he’s feeling very confident with his recovery,” Tom Moody said.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in their opening match of Indian Premier League 2022 in Pune on March 29.
