The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be wearing special jerseys against the Kolkata Knight Riders to celebrate Mother’s Day. The MCA Stadium in Pune will be hosting the match between the two sides later tonight.

Lucknow Super Giants have had a great run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season so far. In a great gesture to celebrate Mother’s Day, the players will wear jerseys sporting the names of their mothers. This symbolic gesture pays respect to the support and the contribution of the mothers across the world.

The Lucknow Super Giants posted a video on their Instagram profile to announce the initiative. Lucknow Super Giants eye their eighth win of IPL 2022

The Lucknow Super Giants are in a strong position on the points table in the Indian Premier League 2022 season. They rank second on the table, with 14 points, having won seven out of their ten matches, and have a Net Run Rate of 0.397.

The IPL 2022 debutants have won four out of their last five matches and are in great form. The skipper, KL Rahul has led the team from the front, scoring 451 runs in ten matches, at an average of 56.38. He has slammed two centuries in the tournament this year so far.

Along with the skipper, Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan too have been their key performers. Avesh has taken eleven wickets in eight matches and is their leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far. On the other hand, Mohsin Khan has eight wickets in four games.

The Lucknow franchise are just two wins securing a spot in the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2022 season They will be eyeing their eighth win on Saturday against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
