IPL 2023: A “Discipline” Bomb Is Dropped By Shubman Gill’s Childhood Coach

After Sunday’s final, Shubman Gill is likely to continue holding the Orange Cap, which he currently holds in the IPL 2023.

Gujarat Titans defeated Mumbai Indians by 62 runs in Qualifier 2 on Friday night in Ahmedabad, advanced to the 2023 Indian Premier League championship.

Shubman Gill was the Titans’ star batsman, scoring an incredible 129 off just 60 deliveries.

Fans and former cricket players were in awe of Shubman’s performance. The 23-year-old rookie smashed 10 sixes and seven fours in his knock.

Shubman also scored a double century in ODIs earlier this year. He also had standout performances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

“Prithvi Shaw Thinks He Is A Star And Nobody Can Touch Him” – Karsan Ghavri

A “discipline” Bomb Is Dropped By Shubman Gill’s Childhood Coach: “Shaw thinks he’s a star and nobody can touch him”.

Karsan Ghavri, Shubman’s childhood coach, however, made an explosive comment about the batter’s development while comparing him to another batter, Prithvi Shaw.

India’s U19 World Cup-winning team in 2018 included Shaw and Gill. Shaw is not even close to being taken seriously in the Indian setup. Whereas Gill is a crucial member of the national team in all formats.

Shaw had a forgettable 2023 IPL season as well. He scored only 106 runs in 8 games for the Delhi Capitals.

“Where are Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill right now? They were members of the squad that won the U-19 World Cup in 2018. They are in two different categories”,Ghavri said to The Indian Express.

Shaw feels invincible and untouchable because he is a star. But he needs to realize that, whether you’re playing T20, 50 over, a Test match or even the Ranji Trophy at the international level, all it takes is one delivery to get you out.

“You need self-control and a positive outlook. So You must always work to improve yourself. You must occupy the crease, and if you do, you will undoubtedly score more runs”, according to Ghavri.

“Shaw, a young right-handed batter, needs to improve on his weakness”, according to Ghavri, who also offered some encouraging words for the young man.

“They share a similar age. Nothing has been lost as of yet. Shaw hasn’t made any progress toward improving his flaws, while Gill has”.

“He is still able. He must put in a lot of effort if he is to realize the potential that he possesses”, according to the former Indian pacer.
