He expressed that he has been doing much better and is on his way to attaining full recovery soon. He is currently in Dubai with the Delhi Capitals franchise for the Indian Premier League auction.
It has been speculated that Rishabh Pant is likely to play in the Indian Premier League 2024. However, if he is not fully fit, he might be used as an Impact Player. The wicket-keeper has been an integral player for the franchise over the years. In a video shared by the Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant said,
“I think much better what I was doing a few months ago so like still on recovery to 100 per cent. But hopefully, in a few months, I’ll be able to do it.”
I got to know at least people love us: Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant suffered a major accident in December 2022. He has recovered massively since then. In the video shared by the Delhi Capitals, the wicket-keeper also spoke about the love he has received from the people around him and the fans during the tough times. He expressed that it was heartfelt to see people’s concern for him. Pant said,
“I think it’s been really amazing because whenever we keep on playing cricket we feel no one loves us because there is always pressure in so many things. But actually yes, it’s a hard time. But I got to know at least people love us. They respect us and the kind of appreciation and the kind of concern I would say people have shown over a period of time because of my injury.”
“I think it was heartfelt, like crazy for me because it means a lot as an individual. When you are going through a very rough time or something like that happens to you. It’s not only physical, it’s like mentally also and if your supporters and the people support you or show you love, it means a lot and it’s it really helps in recovering, I guess,” he added.
