One of the balls hit Wriddhiman Saha’s thigh pad and rolled past Jitesh Sharma. He tried to chase after the ball energetically but slipped and fell before he could catch it. Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans were doing well in the match. They had scored 144 runs for the loss of 3 wickets by the 17th over. Their captain, Shubman Gill, was leading the team with a score of 60 not out.

However, Wriddhiman Saha had been dismissed for 11 runs, and Kane Williamson, playing his first match of the season, had scored 26 runs. Sai Sudharsan had also made a good start but was out after scoring 33 runs. Gujarat Titans were aiming for their third win of the season under their new captain.
