Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan, the renowned Bollywood icon and co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), along with his son AbRam, recently made a notable presence during the team’s practice session before their match against DC in the IPL 2024.

Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer and with mentoring from Gautam Gambhir, KKR has demonstrated outstanding performance, securing the second position on the highly competitive points table of the IPL 2024 season.

However, KKR suffered losses in a couple of matches despite posting scores exceeding 220 runs in the initial innings, casting doubts on the abilities of their bowlers. KKR will be motivated to prove themselves as they take to the field at Eden Gardens today to confront DC.

In the meantime, to boost the team’s morale and confidence before the crucial match, Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of KKR and a Bollywood icon, participated in the team’s mandatory net practice session alongside his youngest son, Abram. SRK showcased his batting prowess by taking on deliveries from Rinku Singh.

The enjoyable session was captured on camera and has been embraced by cricket and cinema enthusiasts throughout the nation. It’s worth mentioning that SRK has been a consistent presence at Eden Gardens this year, braving the scorching heat to provide unwavering support to his cherished team in numerous matches.

KKR is gearing up to face DC in Kolkata today, with all attention on both the team and Shah Rukh Khan, who is anticipated to be present for the significant match.

KKR’s coach, Chandrakant Pandit, chooses to focus on the positives rather than dwell on recent bowling struggles

After a shocking loss to Punjab, the Knight Riders aim to recover against Delhi Capitals. Despite being second in the table, their recent matches have been mixed. They struggled to defend big scores, like 200 runs, in two out of three losses. Despite standout performances from Bairstow and Buttler, KKR’s coach focuses on staying positive.

“In the middle of the tournament, we can’t keep cribbing about it, we have to see what is in our control and how to execute our plans,” Pandit said.

“We want to look at the positive side of it. The result may have gone the other way. But the team is really playing well. We played superb cricket. To put up 260-plus also requires equal effort. It’s not that team is getting bowled out for 100-150 runs. We are full of confidence,” he concluded.
