RCB has appointed Blessing Muzarabani to fill the spot left by Lungisani Ngidi, who has to represent South Africa in international games. The new director will take over on May 26. Muzarabani, who is from Zimbabwe, has taken 78 wickets in 70 T20 matches. He has appeared in 12 Tests and 55 One-Day Internationals for Zimbabwe.
Muzarabani’s participation in numerous T20 tournaments will be a positive addition to RCB. He has participated in the ILT20, CPL, PSL, and Vitality Blast, displaying what he can do in various conditions. He has stood out in the ILT20 and CPL, claiming 22 wickets in 17 games for the Gulf Giants and 21 wickets in 15 matches for the Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans.
Blessing Muzarabani’s Arrival: A Boost for RCB
The RCB management is aiming to strengthen the bowling department by bringing Muzarabani for INR 75 lakh. Taking important wickets is a talent Shahbaz has, so it will be a benefit for RCB in the playoffs. Because he has played in various leagues, he should adjust to the IPL quickly.
Another thing to mention: RCB’s highly anticipated game on Saturday night was called off, as it was supposed to honor Virat Kohli’s Test retirement. Even though RCB missed out on progressing that night due to the ‘no result,’ this made KKR exit the tournament.
