Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have shared information regarding ticket refunds after their IPL 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was washed out on Saturday, May 17. The match, scheduled to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, could not proceed due to persistent and heavy rainfall throughout the day.
The game was abandoned without a single ball being bowled, and the toss was not conducted. Due to the complete washout, RCB confirmed that ticket holders would receive a full refund of the ticket amount.
Fans who booked tickets digitally will receive their refunds within ten working days. The franchise also released instructions for those who purchased physical tickets. However, spectators who attended the match with complimentary passes will not be eligible for any refund.
As a result of the no-result, both RCB and KKR received one point each. RCB moved to the top of the standings with 17 points, while KKR, stuck at 12, have been officially knocked out of playoff contention.

RCB will next host SRH in a crucial home clash
With the match against KKR being abandoned, RCB have moved up to 17 points and are now edging closer to securing a playoff berth. Their next fixture is a home clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday, May 23.
RCB will conclude their league campaign with a clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, May 27, the final fixture of the league stage at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With the washout against KKR resulting in shared points, both of RCB’s remaining matches have become even more crucial for their playoff hopes.
A win over KKR would have guaranteed them a playoff spot with 18 points, but the abandoned game means they’ll have to wait a little longer to secure qualification. The Bengaluru franchise remains in pursuit of their first IPL championship, having come close several times but yet to lift the trophy in the history of the tournament.
