IPL 2025: [WATCH]- Hardik Pandya Clicks Photo With Wankhede Ground Staff After MI Beat DC

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya was seen posing with the groundstaff at Wankhede Stadium following their dominant win over Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. A video shared on social media showed around 10 to 11 groundstaff members standing beside the smiling all-rounder at the center.

Despite a slow start to their IPL 2025 campaign, Mumbai Indians bounced back with an impressive six-match winning streak, which was crucial in securing their playoff spot. With this win, the five-time champions joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings in the top four.

Despite Hardik’s Batting Failure, MI Put Up Strong Total

Hardik Pandya could score only three runs from six balls before being dismissed by Dushmantha Chameera in the clash against Delhi Capitals. Despite his early exit, Mumbai Indians managed to post a strong total of 180/5. They were struggling at 123/5 in the 17th over, but Suryakumar Yadav anchored the innings with an unbeaten 73, and Naman Dhir provided late fireworks, scoring 24 off just eight balls.

In response, Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner each claimed three wickets, helping bowl out Delhi for 120 in 18.2 overs and ending their playoff aspirations. Sameer Rizvi top-scored for the Capitals with a 35-ball 39. Suryakumar was named Player of the Match for his brilliant 73 off 43 deliveries, which included seven boundaries and four sixes.

Although Mumbai Indians have confirmed their place in the playoffs, they will aim for a top-two finish by beating Punjab Kings in their final league match on Monday in Jaipur. Gujarat Titans (GT) currently lead the points table with nine wins and three losses from 12 matches. With IPL 2025 resuming on May 17 after a one-week break, the revised schedule has pushed the final to June 3.
