Young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan earned his maiden India call-up for the upcoming T20I series against England. India will play five T20Is and three ODIs after the four-match Test series against the World Champions. Ishan had a brilliant campaign for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last year where he was among the highest run-getters in the tournament with 516 runs from 14 matches. He finished as the top run-getter for Mumbai Indians playing an instrumental role in their record fifth title triumph.
Meanwhile, after his continuous performances in the domestic circuit and the IPL, the Jharkhand players has finally been given a chance to make his international debut for India. He was roped into the squad in place of Sanju Samson, who was dropped after failing to impress in Australia.
Ishan Kishan took to Twitter to react for the first time after his India call-up and thanked the fans for their messages. He said that it was a surreal feeling after getting to know that he would represent India.

The Jharkhand youngster celebrated his maiden India call-up by smacking 173 runs off just 94 balls in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. He hit 19 fours and 11 sixes in his innings. Jharkhand won the match by a huge margin of 324 runs.
Along with Kishan Suryakumar Yadav has also received his much-awaited India call-up. Like his Mumbai Indians teammate, The Mumbai player has also been very consistent in the IPL and domestic cricket in the last couple of years. Rahul Tewatia is another all-rounder who has been included in the team for his impressive performances. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant makes a return to the T20I squad.
