Jasprit Bumrah’s Wife Sanjana Ganesan Responses Body-Shaming Comment On Social Media

Following a brief hiatus from cricket, Jasprit Bumrah is gearing up for action as the third Test against England kicks off in Rajkot this Thursday. With the series tied at 1-1 and three Tests remaining, the stakes are high. Bumrah’s stellar performance in the second Test, where he claimed nine wickets, was instrumental in India’s comeback.

Taking some well-deserved family time post-match, Bumrah shared a heartwarming picture with his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, captioned “Happiness is here.” Sanjana, a renowned sports anchor, recently became a mother, but unfortunately, she faced body-shaming comments on a Valentine’s Day themed post on Instagram, with one user remarking, “Bhabhi moti lag rahi hai (You are looking fat).”

To which Sanjana replied: “School ki science textbook toh yaad hoti nahi hai tumse, bada auraton ke bodies ke baare mein comment kar raho ho. Bhaago yaha se (You can’t even remember school science textbooks, how dare you comment on women’s bodies. Run away.”

Not long ago, Dale Steyn, the legendary fast bowler from South Africa, commended Jasprit Bumrah.

Steyn said: “I don’t think there’s any Test bowlers right now who are able to run in and bowl essentially wicket-taking yorkers.”

“To take wickets in Test matches, there are probably a handful of guys who could do that. Trent Boult was one of that, Mitchell Starc maybe. And obviously, Bumrah.”

“I remember saying ages back that a good yorker bowled in India or South Africa or Australia remains a good yorker because you take the surface out of it, doesn’t matter where you bowled it. Being an Indian player, there’s going to be a lot of workload. There’s a lot of cricket that India plays, they’re one of the highly-sought after teams in the world.”
