KL Rahul Sweats It Out At NCA Ahead Of IPL 2024

Team India batter KL Rahul is training hard at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after missing the last four Test matches against England due to injury. He will be returning to the sport in the upcoming 2024 Indian Premier League season for the Lucknow Super Giants.

KL Rahul suffered an injury to his right quadriceps during the first test against England. He played a fine knock of 86 runs during the first innings in Hyderabad. However, due to the injury, he was ruled out of the series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement,

“Mr KL Rahul, whose participation in the final IDFC First Bank Test was subject to fitness, has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring him and coordinating with specialists in London for further management of his issue.”

KL Rahul returned from there to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The wicket-keeper batter shared pictures on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) from his training session. He was seen working it out in the gym ahead of his comeback.

KL Rahul to lead Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024

Team India batter KL Rahul will be leading the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2024 Indian Premier League season. They lost to the Mumbai Indians in the Eliminitor last year to bow out of the tournament. Rahul scored 274 runs in the season, at an average of 34.25, with two half-centuries. They signed a few youngsters at the auction for the 2024 season. Shivam Mavi was their costliest signing for INR 6.40 crore.
