Mayank Agarwal Files Police Complaint Post Hospitalization Due To Sudden Health Issue

Mayank Agarwal, the out-of-favour Indian cricket opener and current Karnataka skipper, found himself in a harrowing situation when he fell seriously ill just moments before his scheduled flight to New Delhi. This unexpected health crisis prompted an urgent visit to a local hospital, causing a ripple of concern throughout the cricket community.

The incident took a startling turn as Agarwal, in a move that surprised many, filed an official police complaint, alleging potential foul play. The cricketer’s health scare unfolded due to ingesting a liquid from a pouch he mistook for water, left on his seat during his journey with IndiGo Airlines. Fortunately, Agarwal is now reported to be in stable condition with normal vital signs.

However, the gravity of the situation led his manager to file a detailed complaint with the police under NCCPS (New Capital Complex Police Station) for a thorough investigation. SP West Tripura, Kiran Kumar, provided reassurance about Agarwal’s current status but affirmed the seriousness of the matter, signalling closer scrutiny of the circumstances surrounding the incident.

 

The cop said: “His manager said that when he was sitting in the airplane, there was a pouch in front of him. He drank a little bit not much but suddenly there was irritation in his mouth and suddenly he couldn’t talk also and was brought to ILS hospital. He had swelling and ulcers in the mouth. Otherwise his vitals are stable.”

Health Secretary Kiran Gitte added: “Police has admitted his complaint and we will investigate as to what happened. As per his manager, he will travel tomorrow to Bengaluru and meanwhile whatever best treatment is available in Agartala, we will provide him.”

ILS Hospital’s Business Development Manager, Manoj Kumar Debnath, released a statement on behalf of the hospital, revealing that Mayank Agarwal, the out-of-favour Indian cricket opener and current Karnataka skipper, found himself in a harrowing situation when he fell seriously ill just moments before his scheduled flight to New Delhi. was facing “oral irritation and swelling on his lips.” Following a thorough evaluation by the hospital’s consultants in the emergency department, the cricketer was promptly admitted. Presently, he remains in a clinically stable condition and is under continuous clinical monitoring.

In a separate development, Agarwal, the seasoned cricketer with 21 Tests for India under his belt, demonstrated leadership on the field by guiding Karnataka to a victory with a 29-run triumph over Tripura on Monday.
