Mayank Agarwal Set To Be Discharged From Hospital, Shares Update

Karnataka skipper Mayank Agarwal is set to be discharged from hospital in Agartala and reach Bengaluru this evening. He was admitted to the hospital after experiencing oral irritation and swelling on his lips before taking off for New Delhi.

Mayank Agarwal was onboard an IndiGo flight along with the Karnataka squad. He was supposed to travel to Surat via Delhi when the incident happened. Karnataka are playing Railways in Surat in their next match. On the flight, he drank liquid from a pouch assuming it to be water. This led to a burning sensation and oral irritation. Subsequently, Mayank Agarwal was rushed to the nearby ILS Hospital. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

A day after the incident, Mayank Agarwal took to social media to share an update with the fans. He expressed that he is feeling better and is gearing up for a comeback. He is set to be discharged from the hospital and will reach Bengaluru today evening.

Mayank Agarwal lodges police complaint

Karnataka skipper Mayank Agarwal has lodged a formal complaint with the police through his manager about the incident. The police expressed that the cricketer is stable. Talking about the complaint, Kiran Kumar, SP West Tripura said to PTI,

“Mayank Agarwal, an international cricket player. Now he is stable and his vitals are normal. But his manager has lodged a specific complaint under NCCPS (New Capital Complex Police Station) to investigate the matter.”

 “His manager said that when he was sitting in the aeroplane, there was a pouch in front of him. He drank a little bit not much but suddenly there was irritation in his mouth and suddenly he couldn’t talk also and was brought to ILS hospital. He had swelling and ulcers in the mouth. Otherwise, his vitals are stable,” the officer added.
