One of Afghanistan’s top players has risen to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I All-Rounder Rankings thanks to their team’s undefeated start to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The main beneficiary of the most recent rankings update is the seasoned Mohammad Nabi, 39, who moved up to the top of the all-rounder’s list after taking two wickets against New Zealand in Guyana.

Not only is Nabi capitalizing on Afghanistan’s stellar T20 World Cup debut, but three of his colleagues are also doing well in the most recent rankings for T20I bowlers and hitters.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the opener, is now leading the T20 World Cup in runs scored with 156 from two innings. On the most recent ranking of T20I hitters, the in-form right-hander moves up eight ranks to 12th, establishing a new career-high rating.

Suryakumar Yadav of India continues to lead the T20I batter rankings, with Babar Azam of Pakistan moving up one spot to third, Jos Buttler of England moving up two spots to fifth, Brandon King of the West Indies moving up one spot to seventh, and Travis Head of Australia moving up six spots to tenth. These players have made progress in the top 10 after strong tournament starts.

The T20I all-rounder rankings have seen a significant shake-up, with Nabi moving up two spots to the top, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis moving up three spots to take second place, and former No. 1 player Shakib Al Hasan falling four spots to fifth.

The T20I bowlers rankings show that England’s Adil Rashid is still ranked first, but there is a lot of movement behind him, and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, is ranked second.

Following stellar performances at the T20 World Cup, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan (up four spots to third) and Fazalhaq Farooqi (up six places to equal fourth) advance, while South Africa’s Anrich Nortje (up four rungs to equal fourth) also advance thanks to his eight wickets from three matches.
