The Netherlands cricket team is set to hold a 12-day training camp near Bengaluru in September. This gathering before the World Cup has been organized by the Netherlands Cricket and Karnataka State Cricket Association.

The camp will occur from September 19 to October 1 at KSCA’s Alur facility. A KSCA official confirmed this to Cricbuzz after Dutch officials shared the plan. There’s a possibility of extending the camp by a few weeks, though this is yet to be confirmed.

Led by Scot Edwards, the Dutch team defied expectations and qualified for the October 5-November 19 World Cup, surpassing stronger full-member teams like the West Indies and Zimbabwe. They secured their place with a convincing victory over Scotland in a crucial qualifier match in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Bas de Leede stood out with five wickets and 123 runs, earning the Man of the Match title.

Dutch Cricket Gave an exclusive statement: “What a fantastic performance this Dutch team has achieved! Beforehand, qualification in the midst of so many Full Members seemed like a hopeless mission. The Orange bellied all the doomsayers with brilliant game plans and unprecedented fighting spirit and deserved to make it to the final tournament.”

The Netherlands have their first match scheduled against Pakistan on October 6th in Hyderabad. Subsequently, they will face New Zealand in Hyderabad on October 9th, South Africa on October 17th in Dharamsala, Sri Lanka on October 21st in Lucknow, Australia in Delhi on October 25th, Bangladesh in Kolkata on October 28th, Afghanistan in Lucknow on November 3rd, England in Pune on November 8th, and ultimately, their last league match will be against the host country India on November 11th in Bengaluru.

It’s important to note that there could be changes to a couple of their match dates, pending the final schedule release by the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the International Cricket Council (ICC).
