The Indian bowlers have got England almost on the mat in the first innings of the fourth Test. Ollie Pope is the latest wicket to fell for the visitors just when he looked settled on the wicket. It was one of the most unfortunate matters to get out. Meanwhile, England have slumped further into trouble now with six wickets down. This happened after England won the toss and opted to bat first on a wicket that was expected to remain the same.
England yet again did not have a good start with the bat. Only Ben Stokes went past the score of fifty among the top six. Just when Ollie Pope (29) and Daniel Lawrence were starting to get the England innings back on track, adding 45-runs before ace Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin struck.

The ball which dismisses Ollie Pope, took the inside edge of the bat and then took the back leg and lobbed up on the air as Shubman Gill completed a simple catch. Sunil Gavaskar who was on commentary during that time said that he has not seen a dismissal like this ever before in his life.
