Mr Rahul Johri, BCCI CEO said, “I’m pleased to announce Paytm as the BCCI home series title sponsor. Paytm is one of the new generation companies of India and we at the BCCI are proud of Paytm continuing its long-standing commitment with Indian Cricket.”

Airtel was paying BCCI ₹3.33 crore per match from 2010-13. The baton was then passed to Star who paid ₹2 crore per match in the 2013-14 season. Since 2015, it has just been Paytm who is winning the race.

With the company paying a tremendous fee to BCCI, it must have analysed that cricket is only to grow in India.
