Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) cricketer Krunal Pandya shared a heartwarming post for brother Hardik Pandya, who recently guided Gujarat Titans (GT) to the IPL 2022 title. The debutants thrashed Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium to win the elusive title.
Hardik came into the 15th edition of the IPL on the back of a long injury lay-off and experts casting doubt on his future. However, the dynamic all-rounder proved his critics wrong, leading the Gujarat franchise from the front.
Two days after GT’s IPL 2022 triumph, Hardik received special and emotional praise from brother Krunal Pandya, who lost in the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Taking to Instagram, Krunal wrote:
“People had written you off but you keep writing history. Wish I was there when more than a lakh people were cheering your name. @hardikpandya7.”
He added:
“My bro Only you know the amount of hard work that’s gone behind this success of yours – early mornings, countless hours of training, discipline and mental strength. And to see you lift the trophy is the fruits of your hard work You deserve it all and so much more.”
His captaincy was lauded by several former players including Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, and Michael Vaughan among others.
