Prasidh Krishna was impressive in his debut ODI series against England. The tall fast bowler emerged as a wicket-taker on whom captain Virat Kohli relied heavily upon in the 3 match series against England. Krishna even after going for runs in his opening spell came back stronger in the middle overs and provided the much-needed breakthroughs for India.

The fast bowler will now be representing the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2021 season. Talking about Kohli, he saw a spark in Krishna when he faced him during IPL 2019 and admitted that he surely a future India fast bowler. Prasidh Krishna finally got his maiden India call-up recently and he made it count by performing well against a strong England batting line-up.

Recently Krishna talked about the experience of playing under Kohli and revealed the one lesson he learned from him during his debut series. The fast bowler asserted that Kohli always wanted him to bowl aggressively and back himself no matter what the situation. He added that Kohli and the management always wanted him to be positive and enjoy the opportunity of bowling under pressure.

At the beginning of the match where I made my debut, there was a bit of pressure situation. But Virat and the other seniors told me to always be on the front foot, and it worked well. We made a comeback, and we won. So yes, that’s one lesson I have learned – about being positive no matter what the situation is.”, Prasidh Krishna said.

Meanwhile, Krishna made a name for himself by bowling brilliant spells for KKR in the IPL. In his very first IPL season he bagged 10 wickets from 7 fixtures at an economy of 9.28 and since then has played for KKR.
