Let’s take a look at the five key players to watch out for when Delhi Capitals lock horns with Rajasthan Royals:

1. Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia

The Rahul Tewatia‘ has done what the likes of Jos Buttler, Steve Smith couldn’t do for the Rajasthan Royals side this season. One can never forget those 5 sixes he hit in an over to Sheldon Cottrel during that match against Kings XI Punjab. He has been one player for Rajasthan who has been contributing with both bat and ball this season.

As a bowler, he has one of the best bowling figures playing at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Which is why watching Rahul Tewatia bat and bowl is always pleasing to the eye as there is always new to expect from the Haryana player.

2. Ravichandran Ashwin

This season has been a dream for the Delhi Capitals side and for which much of the credit should be given to Ravichandran Ashwin who has been their unsung hero this season.

Ashwin has been given the responsibility of bowling his overs upfront in the powerplay and he has so far done a terrific job as he has picked key wickets in the powerplay.

There have been instances when Ashwin went on to dismiss the opposition’s star batsman like Nicholas Pooran and Jos Buttler very early on in the innings. Since these batsmen have the sheer quality of taking the match away from the other team in no time.

3. Ben Stokes

The anticipated return of the World’s best all-rounder at present Ben Stokes happened last week. Ben Stokes went on to open the innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad in that match in Dubai.

Though he really didn’t have a great outing with both bat and ball we shall all expect a big inning from the man from England very soon as he has the reputation of being a top-class player who finishes off matches for his side.

4. Anrich Nortje

The Proteas pace bowler who made an impact in the test arena for the South African national side has been another unsung hero for the Delhi Capitals franchise. He along with Kagiso Rabada have been instrumental in Delhi Capitals proven success this year as both have been opening the bowling for the side upfront.

Also, Nortje has been bowling at the death saving those crucial runs for Delhi at the back end of the innings. With the way he has been going about his performance this year, Nortje becomes another man we just have to watch out for in every game.

5. Axar Patel

The Gujarat boy is another unsung hero for the Delhi Capitals franchise this season. Axar Patel typically hasn’t been picking wickets but he has been bowling those economic spells wherein he hardly gives 20 runs in his 4 overs.

Over the years, Axar has had that reputation of not turning the ball much but this season Axar used it to his advantage as the pitches in UAE have been quite spin conducive. Axar needs to fire if Delhi Capitals want to keep their consistent run in IPL 2020.
