Simon Katich the Australian batsman played the IPL for the Kings XI Punjab in the year 2011. In October 2015, he was made the assistant coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders. With Hesson and Katich coming on board, the team sacked Ashish Nehra and Gary Kirsten.
“As a result of this restructuring exercise, we will be moving to a single coach model. Consequently, we would like to thank Gary Kirsten and Ashish Nehra for their contribution over the past two seasons. They leave us with a legacy of having given several young players the confidence to show their ability on the highest stage. Everyone at Royal Challengers Bangalore wishes them all the best in the future,” he further added.
With a change in new staff for the RCB franchise, can this change their fortunes to lift their maiden title?
