The Delhi Capitals (DC) coach Ricky Ponting is undoubtedly the biggest inspiration for all his players during IPL. During his career, Ponting was extremely animated on the field and always led from the front with the bat. Now as a coach Ponting is known to uplift the spirits of all his players immediately with his fiery speech. When the DC coach met all his players during a net session his passion during his little speech gave all the DC players and management goosebumps.

Ponting wants his team to adhere to 4 words throughout IPL 2021 which are attitude, effort, commitment and care. The DC coach feels if his team focus on these 4 things they will once again have a successful IPL campaign. He also made it clear to all his players that DC is not about the coach it’s about all the players and above all it’s their team. He even pointed to new skipper Rishabh Pant and looked him in the eye and said ‘this is your team’.
The Delhi Capitals posted the video on all their social media platform in which Ponting during the speech kept things simple yet motivated his side completely for a challenging season ahead. He wants each and every player to turn up with the right attitude during nets and bring commitment whenever they practice and help all their teammates with care and positivity. Ponting also made it very clear that if a player doesn’t have the right attitude he will not find a place in the playing XI of Delhi Capitals.
