DC are now one of the most consistent sides in the competition and last year even played their first-ever IPL final. Shaw hinted that Ponting as a coach backs all his players and his confidence rubs onto the entire team. In a video posted by Delhi Capitals, as usual, Shaw was cheeky and stated that he wants Shah Rukh Khan’s famous ‘Chak De India song to be played whenever Ponting is giving a pep talk to the team.

“The boss is back. He is a very nice person. On the field, he is like a boss, off the field he is like a friend. I think he is a very nice person. Let’s see how it goes (this year). Absolutely, I think when Ricky sir speaks, it should be played in the background. Shah Rukh Khan’s song,” Shaw told in a video shared by DC on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a couple of days back Ponting shared an interesting struggle while coaching Shaw at Delhi Capitals. Ponting had revealed that Shaw is completely different from the rest as he doesn’t like batting in the nets when he is not scoring runs. Shaw in the last IPL season faded away after a good start and was even dropped by Delhi Capitals. Nevertheless, Shaw has found his mojo and was unstoppable in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy in which he smashed 827 runs at an astonishing average of 165.40.
