India’s wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has made it to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s Test team of the year 2022. He had a great year with the bat in red-ball cricket for Team India. The left-hander is the only Indian on the list. England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been named as the captain of the team.
Rishabh Pant has a good record for India in Test cricket. In seven Test matches in 2022, he scored 680 runs at an average of 61.81 and a strike rate of 90.90. His run tally includes four fifties and two centuries, with 146 as his best score last year. He was also brilliant behind the wickets for India. In twelve matches, the 25-year-old took 23 catches and pulled off six stumpings.
He scored 870 runs at an average of 36.35, with two centuries. With the ball, Stokes took twenty-six wickets in 2022. Meanwhile, Babar Azam, who was the leading-run scorer in Test cricket in 2022 has also made it to the team. He scored 1184 runs at an average of 69.64, with four centuries.

Kagiso Rabada, and Nathan Lyon named in ICC Men’s Test team of the Year 2022
South African pacer Kagiso Rabada was also named in the Test team of the Year 2022. He was the leading wicket-taker of the year. In nine games, the pacer took 47 wickets at an average of 22.25, with two five-wicket hauls. Along with him, James Anderson, and Pat Cummins are the other two pace bowlers in the Test team of the Year 2022. Meanwhile, Australian cricketer Nathan Lyon is the lone spinner in the team. He took 47 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 29.06 in 2022 in Test cricket.
