During the second day of the fifth and final Ashes 2021-22 Test match between Australia and England in Hobart, Australia spinner Nathan Lyon was seen smashing the opponents with the bat.
Coming in to bat at No. 10 in the 68th over, Lyon smashed England fast bowler Mark Wood for a six. However, facing just his eighth delivery in Wood’s next over, Lyon managed a pull to perfection smashing the ball for a mammoth six as well.
Meanwhile, Mark Wood returned to bowl over the wicket on the very next delivery, but Nathan Lyon kept the similar approach and he hit another six over deep mid-wicket as well. While it didn’t land as far as his previous shot, it was timed well enough to be a six again by some margin.
Notably, it was in the 76th over of the innings when the veteran England pace bowler Stuart Broad bowled Nathan Lyon to put an end to the Australian innings as he returned to the pavilion after scoring 31 (27) with the help of a four and three sixes as well.

Meanwhile, England managed to bowl out Australia for 303 runs after some significant contributions from the tailenders. In reply, the visitors batting woes continued and were bowled out for 188 runs, with the Aussies securing a crucial first-innings lead. The English batters got started but failed to convert them into big knocks.
However, the England bowlers produced a stellar effort with Mark Wood leading the pack from the front with a four-wicket haul. At the time of writing, Australia are currently at 91/6 with a significant lead of 207 runs.
