Ritika Sajdeh Responds To A CSK Instagram Post About Rohit Sharma Following His Removal As MI Captain

Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, made a comment on the Instagram post by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) dedicated to her husband. CSK honored Rohit with a special reel on Instagram, marking the conclusion of his captaincy tenure with the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Friday, December 14.

Under Rohit’s captaincy since 2013, MI clinched five championships. However, he was abruptly removed as captain, and the role was transferred to Hardik Pandya.

They recently acquired Pandya through a trade from Gujarat Titans (GT) at the conclusion of last month. Reports suggest that Pandya agreed to return only after receiving assurances of being named captain. Mumbai Indians officially confirmed the leadership change through their social media channels on Friday.

CSK utilized their official Instagram account to extend congratulations to Rohit Sharma as his accomplished leadership journey in the IPL came to an end. You can watch the video here:

Ritika Sajdeh responded to the post using a yellow heart emoji.

“It happened so quickly”- Wasim Jaffer’s perspective on MI’s choice to replace Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as captain for IPL 2024

The sudden decision by Mumbai Indians to change their captain surprised former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer. Sharing his viewpoint on the development during an ESPNcricinfo interaction, Jaffer stated:

“I’m surprised that MI have moved on from Rohit Sharma so early. It happened so quickly, I’m also a little surprised. When they did the trade, it was probably communicated to Hardik that he is going to come in as the captain. But whether it was communicated to Rohit, I don’t know.”

Jaffer added:

“There were a couple of guys who were pretty hopeful of becoming the captain. One of them is Suryakumar Yadav, who is captaining the Indian team. He has captained really well. Jasprit Bumrah as well, he captained India in Tests. I hope it has been communicated really well.”
