In a recent viral occurrence, Magadha DS University scientists purportedly created a 3D model of the historical figure Chanakya, and interestingly, it bears a resemblance to cricketer MS Dhoni.
Circulating on X (formerly Twitter), the image portrays a bald Dhoni reminiscent of his appearance after winning the 2011 World Cup. A user shared the post, stating:
“Scientists at Magadha DS University have reconstructed this 3D model of how Chanakya, the author of Arthashastra might have looked.”

For those unfamiliar, Chanakya, known for his authorship of Arthashastra, was a scholar at Takshashila and served as the teacher and guardian of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya.
In contrast, Dhoni stands as one of India’s most successful white-ball captains, guiding the team to triumphs in three ICC tournaments – the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
As a batsman, the right-hander is among the sixth Indians to achieve a 10,000-plus run record in the 50-over format. Fans on X (formerly Twitter) initiated comparisons with Dhoni in the image. One user expressed:
“Scientists toh thala fans nikle (scientists turned out to be Dhoni fans).”
