BAN vs SL: [WATCH] Litton Das Emulates MS Dhoni With A No-Look Run-Out In The 3rd T20I

In the third T20I against Sri Lanka in Sylhet, Litton Das, Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper, displayed impressive glovework to execute a run-out on Saturday, March 9.

In the last delivery of the Sri Lankan innings, Dasun Shanaka tried to play a lofted shot off the bowling of left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman. However, he mistimed the shot, and the ball ended up landing in the long-on region.

Shanaka and non-striker Sadeera Samarawickrama hustled, aiming for a quick two runs. However, Rishad Hossain’s throw towards the striker’s end was off target.

Das gathered the ball wide outside the off stump and executed a no-look flick at the stumps in a brilliant fashion to dismiss Shanaka. You can watch the video below:

Before his dismissal on the final ball, thanks to Litton Das’ brilliance, Dasun Shanaka played a quick-fire cameo, contributing 19 runs off just nine balls, aiding his team in setting a total of 174 runs.

Kushal Mendis stood out with the bat, producing an 86-run innings at the top of the order. In the bowling department for Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain secured two wickets each.

Litton Das faced an early exit with a low score in the third T20I between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka

Litton Das garnered praise for his batting display in the second T20I against Sri Lanka, accumulating 36 runs. Unfortunately, he couldn’t sustain this form in the crucial series decider, succumbing to Dhananjaya de Silva after contributing a mere seven runs off 11 balls during his short stint at the crease.

Bangladesh’s batting faltered during the chase, and Rishad Hossain fought a lone battle with a resilient 53-run innings down the order. Despite his efforts, the hosts were dismissed for 146, leading to a disappointing 28-run defeat.

Nuwan Thushara shone as the standout Sri Lankan bowler, securing a five-wicket haul that featured a hat-trick. This performance contributed to Sri Lanka’s victory, clinching the T20I series 2-1 against Bangladesh.

The teams are set to engage in a three-match ODI series starting in Chattogram on Wednesday, March 13.
