The right-handed batter then skipped the ODI series against New Zealand and the opening Test against Australia at home.

Prior to the 2023 World Cup, everyone will be watching Suryakumar Yadav in Shreyas Iyer’s absence.
All eyes will be on Suryakumar Yadav in the three-match ODI series leading up to the 2023 World Cup. Since Shreyas Iyer will not be participating in the upcoming West Indies tour.

In a recent three-match ODI series against Australia that India lost 2-1, Yadav recently scored three straight golden ducks.
Before the Asia Cup and World Cup in 2023, he will now try to get back into shape.
While this was going on, Ajinkya Rahane, who took Shreyas Iyer’s place in the Test team, seized the chance by scoring 89 and 46 in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final.
The summit match, however, ended in a 209 run defeat for India.
Rahane has been promoted to vice-captain for the two-Test series against West Indies, which begins at Windsor Park in Dominica on July 12 at 7:30 p.M. IST.
