The 3rd ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo witnessed a heart-melting turn of events when India head coach Rahul Dravid was seen having a close chat with Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka during the rain break.

With rain playing a spoilsport during India’s batting, Dravid had a long chat with Shanaka, who is serving his first assignment as Sri Lanka captain. The image holds a greater significance after a clip of Sri Lanka head coach Mickey Arthur and Dasun Shanaka were seen going at each other after the 2nd ODI defeat.

The image spreaded like hot fire on Twitter with Twitterverse praising Rahul Dravid for his calm and composed behaviour.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka pulled one back in the series by winning the third and final ODI in Colombo by three wickets. It was their spinners Akila Dananjaya and Praveen Jayawickrama who took six wickets together and set the game up. Chamika Karunaratne and Dasun Shanaka picked up a wicket each.

Set to chase 227 to win Avishka Fernando (76) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (65) added a 109-run stand to set up the chase which was finally accomplished in the 39th over.

It was a bad day for India on the field. They missed five catches and lived to rue their missed chances on the field. Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey and Chetan Sakariya were the ones who missed crucial chances.

With the ODI series in the bag, Team India now look forward to the three-match T20I series starting from Sunday. Five players made their ODI debut in the third game and a few more are expected to get their maiden T20I cap on Sunday.
