“Suryakumar Yadav Used To Message Me A Lot”: Bollywood Actress Makes Big Claim

Bollywood actress Khushi Mukherjee has made a striking claim involving Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. Suryakumar has been included in the squad and is set to continue leading the team at the showpiece event. Khushi stated that she and Suryakumar Yadav had conversations in the past, but are no longer in touch.

She further clarified that she has no interest in being associated with anyone romantically or dating a cricketer.

“I don’t want to date any cricketer. There are so many cricketers after me. Suryakumar Yadav used to message me a lot. Now we don’t talk a lot and I don’t even want to get associated. I don’t like any linkups with me,” she said. (via Kiddan.com)

Notably, this account represents only one perspective, as the Indian skipper has neither responded to the claim nor confirmed any details related to it. However, Suryakumar Yadav is next set to feature in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand in January 2026.

Suryakumar Yadav Seeks Momentum Ahead Of T20 World Cup 2026

Suryakumar Yadav endured a difficult year with the bat in 2025. In the recent home series against South Africa, he registered scores of 12, 5, 12 and 5, struggling to find rhythm and failing to deliver any notable innings. Despite a stellar IPL 2025, where he amassed 717 runs at an average of 65.18, Suryakumar Yadav failed to replicate that form in international cricket.

Across 19 T20I innings in 2025, Suryakumar accumulated only 218 runs at an average of 13.62 and a strike rate of 123.16, without recording a single fifty. His lack of runs has emerged as a concern for Team India. While his leadership has been commendable, it will be vital for the Indian skipper to rediscover his touch and momentum ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

The upcoming series against New Zealand will be particularly important for the 35-year-old. Additionally, Suryakumar is expected to turn out for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26, with matches scheduled on January 6 and 8, according to The Times of India.
