Indian debut birthday

Former T20 World Cup winner Harbhajan Singh feels young Ishaan Kishan can open with  Rohit Sharma and this duo can give the start India are looking for in the upcoming matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Ahead of India’s big deciding contest coming up against Kane Williamson led New Zealand on Sunday,  has Harbhajan Singh suggested that Team India need to change their opening duo to get off to a flying start with the bat. The 41-year-old suggested that “explosive batsman” Ishan Kishan has the capability to hit powerful strokes all around the park with positive intent which can put pressure on the opposition.

“According to me, it is necessary that Ishan Kishan be in the playing XI. If he opens with Rohit Sharma, India can have the start which they are currently looking for,” he said on his YouTube channel.

Ishan Kishan has been in excellent form in the warmup games for India and as well as the last parts of the IPL where he played a brilliant knock of 84 of just 32 balls. The wicketkeeper batsmen also scored 46 runs in the warm-up game against England.

Ishan Kishan is an explosive batsman – Harbhajan Singh

In the first match against Pakistan KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma had opened the innings for India and were back to the pavilion before the end of the first powerplay. India failed to get a good start with the bat which resulted in a low scoring game.

“Kishan is an explosive batsman, will put pressure on any bowler. He is in good form also. He played some good knocks for Mumbai Indians towards the end of IPL and was looking solid in the warm-up game as well”,Harbhajan said.
