T20 World Cup: “Mentor Dhoni In Work” – Twitter reacts to Rishabh Pant practicing wicket-keeping with mentor Dhoni

Rishabh Pant

Ahead of the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021,  India is playing a warm-up match against the Australian cricket team. The first warm-up match was against England, where the Indian cricket team emerged victorious in a high-scoring encounter. Rishabh Pant performed well with the willow in that game, but it seems like the Indian team management has decided to rest Rishabh for the match against Australia.

The Aussies won the toss and decided to bat first in the warm-up match against India. The Aaron Finch-led outfit had won their first warm-up match against the New Zealand cricket team. Australia got off to a horrendous start against India. The team’s opening batters, David Warner and Aaron Finch, were back in the hut before the score went past 15. Even in-form number 3 batter Mitchell Marsh could not contribute much.

Ishan Kishan is keeping the wickets for the Indian cricket team in the warm-up match against Australia. Pant was sitting on the sidelines. To make the most out of the time he can spend with MS Dhoni, who is the mentor of the Indian cricket team for the ICC T20 World Cup, Pant had a brief practice session with Dhoni on the boundary line.

The broadcasters telecasted the small practice session during India vs. Australia warm-up match. In the brief clip, Pant can be seen perfecting the art of stumping.
